Still not knitting

I know it has been forever since I posted a new podcast, or comment... or video.  I had so many plans and ideas, but have gotten very side tracked.  With good reason, though.  But first, I did have a question.  What kind of yarn did I use in my "Elongated Stitch video?  Just plain old Lily Sugar n Cream cotton yarn.    Ok... so why haven't I been around lately?  Well, you might have guessed if you have scrolled down to the bottom of the blog recently.  Around the end of November / beginning of December, I started getting extremely tired.  So tired that I was falling asleep around 8 PM and still could barely drag myself out of bed in the morning to get to work on time.  On the weekends, I was sleeping in and as soon as I got up, I would sit on the couch and almost immediately fall asleep again.  That is so not me.

Long Time No Knit

I apologize for being away for so long.  I was in need of a little break.  I have had a little something going on, which I am very excited about and will be sharing with you shortly.  The next episode of the podcast will be up soon.  I have the first part of the next Mystery Knitting Project ready for you as well.  I have lots to get ready for the next podcast, and so will be working on that over the next several days.  I can't wait to get back into the swing of things!

Episode 7

Welcome to Episode 7 of the Sapphires-N-Purls podcast!  In addition to what I have been up to lately, below are links to everything I talk about in this episode.

I finally finished the dog sweater for my sister's friend!  I will be putting it in the mail this weekend.  I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.  I didn't use a pattern, I just kind of winged it, and sure hope it fits!

Shadow Knitting: 1st Mystery Knitting Project is done!

Ok, here is the picture of the completed item. This was my first real attempt at shadow knitting.  Much easier than I expected, but it does take some thought when charting out the pattern.  I've been using mine as a large coaster, but it really is meant to go on my counter whenever I have something from the oven that needs to cool down.  This will come in handy for Thanksgiving dinner this year because I always seem to run out of potholders/dishtowels to set my hot dishes on.  If you made this as well, I hope you had fun knitting and like the end result.  I will have a new mystery project around the middle of December, so be sure to check back!
Pattern for the Heart Shadow Hot Pad is below the picture.
